FALL 2011 RUSH EVENTS SCHEDULE

 

Hi all! LDL is having our FALL 2011 Rush week of Oct 3-Oct 8! Interested in joining a queer friendly alternative sorority? Of course you are. Keep in mind that attending these events by no means requires you to rush LDL. This is just for us to get to know each other better <3.

Monday- Info Night || 6-8 pm @ the WRRC 

Come any time between 6-8 pm to get your burning questions answered. Come to get to know more about us, schmooze, and have a few snacks. :) 

Tuesday-Dollar Scoop Night || 6pm @ Downtown Baskin Robbins 

give in to the call of really good and really cheap ice cream with the sisters of LDL. 

Wednesday- Farmer’s Market Meetup || 5pm -7pm @ Central Park near the tree with decking

Wednesday- Bojangles Club Night || 8:30 pm-Late meetup @ Delta Venus 

this event will be 18+ up so be sure to bring your ids! If you’re worried about staying up too late there will be late and early cars driving back to Davis. 

Thursday-Corn Maze Adventure || 6:30 meetup @ Delta of Venus

to celebrate the coming of Halloween the sisters of LDL will be going to Dixon’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch. Rides will be provided! 

Friday- Movie Night || 6:30 @ the LGBTRC

Saturday: Party! <3 || 9:00 pm-late @ Location TBA 


Some of us adventurous LDLers still around Davis for the summer decided to go on a hike through Cold Canyon and along the top ridge. None of us expected the hike to be as long as it was… We were damned tired in that “top” picture but only halfway through the trail! But we made it out alive! And with a new song that was our anthem throughout the hike… ”We’re going on an adventure, an LDL adventure, LDL’s on an advanture with our new friend Mark!” Thank you Lesley for our new song… =P

Project Linus is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.” LDL aims to provide hand-made blankets by each active member to Project Linus every year. We currently fund the project out of our own pockets, but hope to soon begin fundraising for materials so we can make even more blankets each year. Feel free to contact us if you would like to donate (funds or materials) to this cause.
